March 18, 2021 (DJIBOUTI, Djibouti): The Executive Secretary of the Intergovernmental Authority on development (IGAD), H.E. Dr. Workneh Gebeyehu, conveys his heartfelt condolences to the Government and people of Tanzania on the passing of H.E. John Pombe Magufuli.
"The late Magufuli was a great promoter of regional integration and African unity and a Pan-Africanist. His passing is a great loss not just to Tanzania, but also to the African continent, and we join Tanzania in mourning this great son of Africa", said Dr. Workneh.
